Ryan J. Barbur (University of Minnesota, B.A., 2004; Columbia Law School, J.D., 2007) joined Levy Ratner in September 2007. At LR, Barbur is involved in all aspects of the firm's labor practice and represents unions and individual employees in arbitrations, litigation and proceedings before the NLRB. Barbur's primary focus at LR is on Taft-Hartley funds, collection matters, ERISA litigation, and bankruptcy proceedings. During law school Barbur worked in the General Counsel's Office of the SEIU, where he concentrated on labor issues related to home care workers. He also clerked for the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office.

Prior to, and during law school, Barbur worked on a variety of state and local political campaigns, and served as a volunteer for progressive issue-advocacy groups. In 2004, he helped manage the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party's statewide caucus and endorsing convention system.
