Michael Steven Smith (University of Wisconsin Law School, J.D., 1967) has practiced law in Michigan and New York since 1967. He specializes in serious injury and medical malpractice litigation and has obtained many settlements and verdicts in excess of a million dollars. He is the co-host of the nationally broadcast radio show Law and Disorder heard locally on WBAI. Smith has written several books and contributed articles to the NYSBA Journal. Most recently he edited The Emerging Police State by William M. Kunstler. Smith is on the Board of Directors of several organizations including the Center for Constitutional Rights and is a member of The New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
